Yes. Once you tap start on a study, the entire experience runs through your phone's speakers and microphone. The app reads each question and its answer choices aloud, listens for your spoken response, and moves to the next question on your voice command. You can say "repeat question," "previous question," or "next question" at any time.
Your voice recordings are used to verify that responses come from a real human and to transcribe your answers for researchers. Recordings are stored securely and never sold to third parties. We'll publish a full data and privacy policy before launch — you can review it before you sign up to take any studies.
Surveys pay roughly $10–$15 per hour of active time, and voice interviews (which are longer and more in-depth) pay around $30 per hour. Each study lists its compensation up front, so you always know what you're getting before you start.
