Sayso LLC ("Sayso," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website at saysoapp.net (the "Site") and our forthcoming mobile app (collectively, the "Services"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Who we are
Sayso LLC is a limited liability company organized in the State of Indiana, United States. You can reach us at support@saysoapp.net.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Waitlist information. When you join our waitlist, we collect the contact information you provide — either an email address or a phone number — and a record of when you submitted it.
- Communications. If you contact us by email or other channels, we keep a record of that correspondence.
- Future app data. Once the Sayso mobile app is available, additional information will be collected when you create an account and participate in studies (for example, profile details, voice recordings of your survey responses, study metadata, and payout information). The use of that information will be governed by the version of this policy in effect at that time, and we will notify you of any material changes before they take effect.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data. We collect basic information about how visitors use the Site, such as pages viewed, links clicked, browser type, device type, approximate location (derived from IP address), and the date and time of visits. We use Google Analytics for this purpose; you can learn more about Google's practices in their Privacy Policy.
- Cookies and similar technologies. The Site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies for analytics and basic site functionality. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Notify you when Sayso is ready to download and to share early-access updates.
- Send you transactional and informational messages by email or text, depending on the contact method you provided.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
4. Text messages (SMS)
If you submit a phone number to our waitlist, you are consenting to receive text messages from Sayso about launch updates and early access. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. To stop receiving texts, reply STOP to any message we send you. For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@saysoapp.net. We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the limited circumstances described below:
- Service providers. We use third-party providers (such as Supabase for data storage, Google Analytics for site analytics, and Netlify for hosting) who process information on our behalf under contractual obligations to keep it confidential and secure.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sayso, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If Sayso is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you and provide options to the extent required by law.
6. Data retention
We retain waitlist contact information for as long as needed to send you launch and early-access communications, or until you ask us to delete it (whichever comes first). After launch, accounts and study data will be retained according to the terms of the app's privacy policy and applicable law.
7. Your choices
- Unsubscribe / opt out. You can opt out of email communications at any time by replying with an unsubscribe request or by emailing us. You can opt out of texts by replying STOP to any message.
- Access, correction, deletion. You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing support@saysoapp.net. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
- Do Not Track. The Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. International users
Sayso is operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Site or, where appropriate, by email or text.
